Behind InWorld Korea

I’m Min Kim, Founder of InWorld Korea. I’m a hybrid of globalization — born and raised in Korea, educated in the U.S., married to a Spanish man, and raising children born in the U.S. and Canada.
This blend of cultures inspired me to create InWorld Korea — a place where learning a language also means discovering identity and connection. I hope our courses help you build meaningful bridges — to people, to culture, and to yourself.

Frequently asked questions

What is InWorld Korea?
A community-first way to learn Korean — with a speaking-first focus. Short K-Culture–rooted lessons plus Listen & Speak audio practice get you talking from day one, with weekly prompts and optional small-group sessions to keep you going.
How much time do I need to learn basic Korean for a trip?
Begin with our free Hangul Basics. It takes about a week — or a weekend with just a couple of hours — and by the end, you’ll be able to read basic words in menus, names, and signs. It’s the fastest way to make Korean feel natural.

Next, spend 20–30 minutes a day for 3–4 weeks on Hangul & Phrases to get trip-ready with essentials for getting around—simple sentence-building and speaking basics. If you’d like a deeper cultural understanding and smoother conversations, continue with Everyday Korean—greetings, numbers/money, ordering, directions, and small talk.
Is this course suitable for kids and adults?
Yes. It’s designed for adults and motivated younger learners who can follow simple, step-by-step lessons. For live small-group lessons, we offer separate Teen and Adult groups, so everyone feels comfortable.
